Volunteers in Mission UPDATE
Dear Friends in Ministry:
A couple of weeks ago, we advertised the following mission opportunity through our connections:
MISSION OPPORTUNITY – Help CHRIST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Selinsgrove, build a new church after devastating fire. Ground has been broken on the new site and we invite you to partner in ministry to help us with construction and painting. This mission will save the church approximately $50,000.

WHEN: January 16th – 20th UPDATE: THIS WEEK HAS BEEN CANCELLED!!
January 23rd – 27th
January 30th – February 3rd
February 6th – 10th
February 13th – 17th
THE WORKWEEK IS MONDAY-FRIDAY. HOUSING WILL BE PROVIDED SUNDAY NIGHT-THURSDAY.
IMPORTANT DEADLINE/DATES: REGISTER BY JANUARY 2ND IF YOU NEED HOUSING.
FOOD ARRANGEMENTS: BREAKFASTS WILL BE SERVED AT HOST HOMES M-F. LUNCHES AND SNACKS WILL BE PROVIDED ON SITE, M-F. DINNERS PROVIDED AT NEARBY LOCATION M-TH.

Since this advertisement was sent, we want to share a few updates with you:
The date of the mission has been updated. We will begin January 23, NOT January 16!
We are currently coordinating 18 venues to host our dinner meals. (THANK YOU if your organization/church is one of them!!)
We are still accepting applications to help with construction. Application deadline is January 2, 2017.
We still need a few local homes (Selinsgrove Area) to house the missionaries who come to perform construction duties. If you are interested and have an extra bed, couch or sleeping space, please contact us at office@christ-umc.net or 570-374-8539.
