Christ United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove, PA Ministry/Mission Opportunities
Soup Outreach Ministry for CUMC with various coordinators.
During these difficult and stressful times many people are trying to social distance or quarantine due to COVID. We as a church are planning on making soup and taking it to people to show our love. If you would like to be part of this ministry, please contact the church office (570)-374-8539 or email@example.com). Even if you do not want to make soup you can donate crackers, cookies, T- rolls or make deliveries. Let's get out there and show our love!
Selinsgrove Area Christian Council Food Baskets for Thanksgiving & Christmas with Pam Wildt, Health & Welfare Chair, Coordinator
Pam Wildt is set for Thanksgiving Baskets & volunteers (thanks to several of you & to the Winks) but will need additional food items & gift cards for the Christmas Food Baskets. We plan to get more information to you in the coming weeks about a contactless drop off of food items in December for Christmas Food Baskets. We will also be looking for monetary donations and donations of Weis/Giant Gift Cards that you can purchase through the Church. Christ UMC, Selinsgrove, PA sent $400 from the Health & Welfare Budget last week to help with the purchase of items for Thanksgiving.
Agapeland Kidsgrove Food Pantry Mission with Michele Hoch as Coordinator working with Tricia Shipman of Kidsgrove Ministry
Agapeland will be collecting monetary donations for the Kidsgrove food pantry (checks made out to Agapeland Preschool) until December 22nd. We will also collect NEW items such as scarves, hats, mittens, socks, and blankets that can be placed there, too. The items will be collected at Agapeland and then sent over to Tricia so she can continuously fill the pantry for the winter months as needed.
